Hello my name is Matan, and I’m a Flash – Action Script enthusiast.
– “Hello Matan” –
I grew up in a small “village” in South Africa where I found my passion for Flash, it all started when my bothers left the house. Being the youngest of 4, this was the first time I had no one to kill time with at home, thus I turned to my trusty-old-computer. Flash became a very nifty tool for little silly animations, it quickly grew on me and I was spending hours in front of it. Soon enough it was my time to leave to house and start a career, much to my surprise, people were actually doing Flash as an profession!?! Which is great! I landed my first job at Master Maths Head Office – no tertiary education, nothing, but armed with self taught knowledge and passion, I ventured into the working world. Building educational applications for school children is where I was introduced to Action Script for the first time. Suddenly a whole new world of possibilities became clear.
Okay, lets skip a few years to the present. I remotely work (from South Africa) for UK company called Kids Industries. It’s a great company that really study children and their very specific needs. So work is always fun, catering for kids really brings out the more playful side of Flash.
